Vancouver Whitewater Club

For All things Whitewater...

Why should I join the VWC?

  • What better way is there to meet like minded people than through an organization that promotes your interests? The VWC offers a schedule that runs for 7 months of the year with river days, road trips, festivals and socials.

  • For beginners we offer pool and river training sessions, a series of easier trips with a progression of difficulty throughout the year. The club has been around helping people learn to paddle whitewater for over 40 years!!

  • For for experienced or new paddlers to our area: trips on new rivers and people to paddle with who know the runs.

What do I get for my membership money?

  • The club subsidies courses for volunteers, these courses may be but are not limited to First-Aid, Swift water rescue and instructor certification.

  • Access to all the club gear; Boats, Paddles, Helmets..

  • We subsidize the camping and often provide meals on the more popular club socials.

  • Access to the lower and upper Seymour river as well as the lower Mamquam for beginner training.
